Time to Make the Donuts-Sugar Shack Donuts of Alexandria
October 6, 2014 – It is no secret the Richmond-based donut shop, Sugar Shack Donuts, has been searching for its first location in the DMV. Today, Tartan Properties Commercial is happy to announce, that with their assistance they will be opening the first store. This store is at the Belle Pre–a new development that has a variety of uses near the Braddock Road Metro. Additionally, it will be under the ownership of VA Del, Rob Krupicka, the group’s first franchisee. Sugar Shack Donuts of Alexandria will be a big hit. Krupicka plans to open several in the region in the next few years. Sugar Shack’s handmade donuts are some of the nation’s best donuts according to USA Today.
Krupicka’s flagship shop will have a different twist. Additionally, it will feature a speakeasy type bar/restaurant, that will not only play off the donut theme but the historic nature of the city. Sugar Shack Donuts is co-located with the Lost Dog Restaurant at 804 N. Henry Street. In the meantime, follow Sugar Shack Donuts of Alexandria @NOVADonuts.
